Covered Wagon Shed and New Cupola

This July the Worcester Historical Society undertook a number of improvements to the Covered Wagon Shed. This included a new metal roof  constructed by local carpenters with the financial support of Wehrung’s Collegeville. It was decided that a cupola and weathervane would be a good addition to the new roof. Thanks to the financial support of the VanNuys Foundation, and local craftsman Brad Smith, the Wagon Shed is now complete.

This has been a productive year for the Society, from projects undertaken to museum tours. Please remember that we can only survive and prosper to protect Worcester’s heritage with your support. This Saturday, September 24, will close the season on Saturday morning tours. Our next opening will be early December for our annual Christmas Open House. Please follow us on social media for times and updates as well as articles on the history of Worcester. Jim Thompson, President-WHS.
